Emily Bett Rickards born July 24, 1991, is an Canadian actress, known for her role as Felicity Smoak in The CW television series Arrow. Rickards was born and raised in British Columbia. In order to begin her professional career, she began with musical theater and dancing, in the hopes of later introducing formal acting. Her career path began early after she completed high school and went to the Vancouver Film School. There she took the acting Essentials course. In the open call that followed the search for an agent, she was able to find one for her. Alida Vocal Studio was her school of choice in Vancouver.
