Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin, a Canadian-New Zealander actor. Paquin who was born in Wellington but born and raised in Winnipeg made her acting d but on screen in The Piano. At age 11 years old, she became the youngest Academy Award winner ever for Best Actress. Anna Paquin full name Anna Helene Paquin born July 24, 1982 Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian-born New Zealand actor who won the Academy Award as a youngster in the category of Best Supporting actress for acting as the bright and interesting daughter of Holly Hunter's lead part on the film The Piano. Following a prompt for open auditions at age nine and having no previous experience in acting, she won Flora McGrath's part. Flora is the child of an Scottish pianist, who was deaf. The couple were relocated into New Zealand during the middle of the nineteenth century in an effort to plan a wedding. After moving to New Zealand, in the United States, she became a teenager. Paquin was played as the title child in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre in 1996. Also, she was an important part as a lead character in Fly Away Home, a movie from the same year. Paquin played Frankie Addams as a child in the 1996 television film adaptation Carson McCullers novel The Member of the Wedding. Paquin also had a role of Queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's 1997 film Amistad. She played teenagers on the screen in Hurlyburly (1998) She's All That (1999) and A Walk on the Moon (1999) and portrayed the character of a groupie Polexia Aphrodisa in Almost Famous (2000).
