Winona-Ryder
Winona Laura Horowitz who is professionally known by the name Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named her Winona in honor of her hometown. His father Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder is a Jew. Ryder believes that her father had a Jewish origin. Ryder is the younger sister of Uria, and has half-siblings Jubal and Sunyata. At the age of seven, Ryder was seven, her family relocated into Mendocino County California. There was no electricity. Ryder was a voracious read and often spent her time reading books as she had no television. Ryder started taking classes in acting in the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983, when she was 12 years old. At the age of 15years old, Ryder was offered her first part onscreen, playing Lucas. Ryder experienced bullying at her high school. Ryder believed that if she became an actor, her behavior was going to be corrected. However, that didn't happen. Still, she pursued her dreams. Her breakthrough came in 1988 with Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder continued playing roles that were successful in several movies. He was nominated for two Academy Awards were nominated, one of which was for The Age of Innocence (1996).
